DESCRIPTION :
The Asian ancient gods and beasts are often confused because of their similar appearance, which echos the long-lasting misunderstanding towards the Asian community. Asian females are often seen as exotic figures and Asian female artists are underrepresented in the history of the archive. Lion Dance is a signifier to align with the visibility of Asian females. I capture the Lion Dance at specific historical importance art spaces to present the misrepresentation and exploitation Asian female artists had experienced.
