Feminism is about us; we practice relying on community instead of systems that oppress. What would a communal care space based in feminist values feel like? What does it mean to continually rebuild feminist spaces that dissolve over time? Building upon the Cunt Cave of Expo 2023, “Cunt Cave continued: pOp up feminism” is an ephemeral manifestation of feminist lineage and its future. Curated collectively by the Feminist Alliance Movement (FAM), the installation includes interactive artwork, archival material, care resources, and interdisciplinary durational performance. We hold space for collective healing around intersectional identity-based trauma, as well as joy and reflection. As we radically and authentically witness each other, we dream alternatives to white-supremacist capitalist patriarchy. Rejecting perfectionism, we allow ourselves to show up vulnerably and build fervently with our collective available resources. We practice presence and care. We lean into the flow of us.
